Do you think ancient humans are advanced in technology than ours?
Your question reminds me of a quote by Isaac Newton. When someone praised his wisdom, he replied "If I see further than others, it is because I stand on the shoulders of giants", meaning that his work was built on the work of scientists who had gone before. Technology is much the same and what we have now derives from previous developments. You specifically mention rockets. Actually, they were first developed by the Chinese hundreds of years ago. Precisely the same principal applies to our modern rocketry, the real changes coming from the control systems. Electricity for power first became possible when, among other things, wires could be made from copper. All technology develops step by step, and there hasn't been a radical departure from this since the invention of the wheel. The modern combustion engine? Based on wheels and 19th century chemistry. Possibly the only quantum leap in technology in recent times is the development of nuclear weapons and power, and it took a World War to provide the impetus.
