He's a international student from Europe and i met him back in October 2010. We became really good friends and hang out at least once a week, and by December we became closer and developed deep feelings for each other. On New years (2011), he finally asked me to be his girlfriend and i said yes despite the fact that by the end of June 2011 he would go back to his country. We've been so happy and never really fought at all through out our relationship. We became closer and started understanding each other even more. Everything went all well, but mid June he began decreasing contact with me. (we talked/webcamed almost every night, ever since we first me) the one night i messaged him, and he told me sorry for not being there but he wanted to talk to me that night. And he decided that we "break up" to ease the pain for when he leaves, but of course i tried to understand his point because i really love this guy and he loves me too. He said that we can still be very very very...good friends cause we had such a great relationship, but it still hurt to "break up" We hung out once after that, and now he hardly has time for me because he's always chilling with his friends. I feel as though he may be avoiding me, maybe i'm wrong idk? I don't mind him hanging out, i'm totally fine with that. It makes me happy knowing that he is enjoying life, but i wish he would at least tell me before hand instead he just leaves me hanging and waiting. I feel a little neglected and he's leaving very soon. I don't want to seem clingy and i'm not, so i;m waiting until he messages me first, but it's killing me! Please help :(

I HATE my dog but I LOVE my fish. I think the fish are cuter and best of all they dont do all that annoying stuff my dog does. So when you get low grades they are disappointed. So when they hear you blame it on this ADD they arent to quick to believe you. Now you need to get their attention. Try to sit them down and tell them its something serious. If they still don't listen ( my parents didn't listen ) then do something drastic. Wht I did is I ran away. CAUTION!!! don't run away unless you feel its absolutely necessary. Give it about a day or two, and when they find you, they WILL be furious, but they will want to know why you ran away right?! BAM!!! they have to listen. You wouldnt have to run away if wasn't important right?! So this is how I convinced my parents. Good luck.

A "Friend" abandoned her dog at my house and wont take him!!!?

Except I have plans all week and wont be home either, therefore I've explained my house is not an option. She says she is working on an option, but I know the end result will be her leaving him. So... I've told her if he isn't gone by tonight, then I'm calling the SPCA and she said if I did that she'll send people to my house... basically threatening me. Am I being unreasonable???????? I feel so used, what would you do? Should I call the SPCA?

You can take all of your generals and lower division CS courses at a comm. college, they are usually very cheap. My boyfriend recently started doing online gaming. I only see him every other weekend, since we live an hour apart. Isn't it selfish for a woman to abandon her family to pursue a "career"?

I understand if the couple has no kids then it is completely fine if she wants to play business woman. But if there are kids at home it is a mother's duty to tend to the kids and make sure to properly raise them. I see so many selfish women dump the children onto the grandparents, depend on strangers such as nannies or day care centers to raise their own offspring. This is completely unacceptable. I am blessed to have a loving wife who knows her role and puts our family ahead of everything else. Women who neglect their family are selfish and do not deserve to have children in the first place.

Relationship problems, i dont know what to do?

I live in London and he lives in Ireland. We met 6 months ago, after we talked tons online and I decided to fly over there. We've been flying back and fourth maybe once or twice a month ever since. He's at university and I'm still in school, so he's more busy than me. When we first started dating in January, he wouldn't talk to me until 10pm every night and he'd go out clubbing around 4 nights a week. I felt rather neglected, but I kept quiet and just thought 'it'll change soon'. Anyway, it didn't. So I had to tell him that it'd be nice if he sent a few inboxes during the day and perhaps went out a bit less and he's in a long distance relationship and we need time to talk. He agreed with me and stopped. Anyway, problems progressed. He'd forget me, not be fair etc. For example my nan died a few months ago and instead of being supportive, he made things harder for me. I've been depressed for a long time and even suicidal these past few months and he doesn't understand that the way he makes me feel (not worth it, unloved, unattractive) really does not help my depression! Anything nice he's done (bought me flowers, taken me out, anything sentimental) I've had to ask him to do. He's said if I stop asking him to do things, then he'll do it by himself. But I gave him that chance and it didn't happen. He's said he'll change so many times and that tomorrow will be better, but it never happens. I also found out he'd been camming with other females and saying sexual things to them in the first 2 months of our relationship. He'd also been talking to his ex girlfriend and a girl he was previously in love with (he may still be in love with her..) I just don't know what to think anymore. I even caught him appearing offline to me on msn, and talking to this girl he was in love with instead. Everytime I tell him 'I don't feel like you care about me' he gets angry, telling me I'm stupid for thinking that. But am I really stupid for thinking that? I feel horrible, I cry so much. And I've been constantly getting back pain, migraines and stomach pain due to the stress. He's having a hard time at the moment because his dad had a stroke and he started giving me this big lecture saying I should be there for him. Yes, I SHOULD be there for him and understand if he can't talk sometimes because he's with his family. But, where was he when my nan died and now that I am suffering from depression? I'm exhausted and I don't know what to do. I feel like he's not in love with me, like I'm not worth it. But every day I try so hard to make things okay. But the truth is, he was lying to me from day one because I asked him if he'd been camming with any girls and he said no. I feel like I can't trust him at all. I even checked his facebook chats one day as I was extremely paranoid after all of this, and found him moaning about me to some girl he knows. He could be saying 'I'm not lying to you' but instead he's just doing it behind my back and deleting the evidence. I don't know what to do. Because I'm depressed I find it so hard to let go of something or someone that may care about me. I admit after him forgetting me and ignoring me, it's made me chase him more and become quite needy. And me being depressed obviously is hard for him. I don't know if I'm in the wrong or I'm doing the wrong thing. I just don't know what way to turn anymore. I don't want to 'just break up with him, he's not worth it!' I care about him, it's not as simple as that. I'm not saying I shouldn't break up with him, I just need an easier route to do it. Hi I am 12 years old and I live at the Jersey shore. I REALLY love animals and I want to help the ones that have been abused and neglected. Any tips for training an older beagle pup?

So we are just about to adopt a lovely 8month old beagle girl, lemon and white. She has been crate trained, and clicker trained, went to obedience training courses etc but her training has been slightly neglected over the last couple of months. I'm slightly worried about continuing on with her training, firstly because we trained all our own dogs from they were wee pups, and secondly because ive never used the clicker training method. I'm assuming that it would be best to continue on with the method she is familiar with? I've tried 'googling' info on training an older beagle but all i get is stuff on young puppies. Anyone have any experience in this area and have any suggestions as to what to do? Many thanks.

Would like an opinion on child custody.....?

I have physical custody of my son. I live a long way away from the other parent. My child wanted to try living with the other parent for awhile, so I let him go although he was still quite young. Because I did NOT want to keep my child from the other parent and wanted to encourage the relationship, I loved him enough to let him go. It hurt like crazy, but I adjusted to life. However, while there, the other parent never "stepped up to the plate" although they had good intentions of doing so. My child ended up with grandparents all week long for 5 months. The other parent would get him on the weekends (probably) 2 or 3 times per month and would visit him at the grandparents house a couple of times per week. There were times that my child didn't even see his other parent because of a bad work schedule even on the weekends. I am not sure that my son's other parent got him up for school - even once in a 5 month period. All contact has been through the grandparents. I have not any contact with the other parent nor has he updated me on my son's school progress, illnesses, happy moments or sad moments. Now my son is visiting me for the summer and I have not heard ANYTHING from the other parent until today when he stated what time he will be flying in to pick up our son and take him back "home" . I am able to provide full-time parenting to him and will be able to do so even when school starts again. If he goes back to live with his other parent it will be the grandparents doing the "parenting". Although my son likes this arrangement, it is not in his best interest to do so for lots of reasons. I have not discussed with my son that I am thinking about not allowing him to return. He is still quite young (10 years old) and does not know what is best for him. But if he totally contests to living here, there is a part of me that just says, "go" --- rather than deal with the heartache it will cause if I "force" him to stay. There's no abuse or neglect or anything else going on at either house and he is well cared for in both places. But I just wondered what other parents would do in the same situation. He will be "safe" in both places (here or there) but it's just the other parent isn't as available as I am and just doesn't seem overly interested in doing what it takes to be available for our child. Emotionally, I feel our son would be better off just staying here. What would you do in a similar situation --- especially if both places were safe places without neglect or other issues?

I'm a 13 year old boy, 6'2, and I have a rather "scrawny appearance", if you will. For the past nine months I've been going to a gym with a personal trainer two to three times a week, and my measurements barely changed. My diet on average consists of about 90-100 grams of protien a day, and I'm beginning to question if that's an adequate amount. My trainer told me that I should eat about 1.5 times my body weight, which is about 220 grams of protien a day, and I simply don't have enough food to make up for that amount. I also used to be dehydrated for the first 8 months of my training because I used to neglect my "daily water intake". Could dehydration be the problem, or not enough protien? Will 90 grams of protien daily ever make atleast some subtle changes, now that I'm more hydrated?

No Internet but modem is fine?

I got comcast hooked up a week ago and it was fine for a day, then my kid tried to install IE 8 from a flash drive (w/out permission) and when I got on to install a webcam the pc said something was already installing. I didn't know what it was so I was waiting on someone to call and my kid decided to hop on and try to delete or cancel it so she wouldn't get in trouble, when she couldn't get it done she restored my pc to a time before I got my comcast internet. All of a sudden the pc went into safe mode and there was a big black frame around the window. She got scared and powered off the pc. My husband works from home, and I am not working so I am at home for a majority of the day, also. I take care of the house and our toddler, and I am also pregnant with our second child. He walked into the room, saw me crying, he had no idea what I was crying about or if I was happy or sad but he didn't bother to ask and was unfazed by it. He walked past me to go to the bathroom, I know he saw me crying because he was 5 feet away from me and we made eye contact. I feel desperately hurt and I don't know what to do. He is just extremely uncaring/unfazed by me, always. So my non-blood uncle has been living in my dads house for going on 5-6 years, I had lived there but as of about a year ago had moved out on my own since I hit 18, my uncle and my dad drink a lot (literally a lot) its slowly taking both of them in a downfall my uncle about a month ago went into the hospital because of it and they found tumors on his brain and his esophogas was basically gone, he was gettin 1200 a month but since it had taken so long he had gotten something like 11,000 in back pay, I believe he was getting it from the srs, around march I found out I was pregnant with my husbands and I's first baby and quit my job being it was construction and I didn't feel comfortable working there, so money got extremely tight and my uncle lent me money to pay for my bills and stuff when it got to last minute and he also had just givin me money since there was times he didn't have money before this and I bought him stuff he wanted and needed, and like I previously stated I no longer live there and haven't for over a year and I got a letter in the mail (my dads mail) not mine) that said I was an alleged perpetrator for abuse neglect fiduciary and something else I think and I don't understand why, I don't know if I truly did anything wrong and if I did I didn't do it purposely can I go to jail for this? My husband had a job that required him to spend months out of state. He started in March of this year. Help! Internet goes from fast to slower than dialup speed!!?

I have ADSL2+ broadband with Netspace which I have had for over a year now. For the past week the internet speeds have gone from fast to extremely painfully slow. I have run many speed tests which sometimes show the speeds above 1mb/sec but then will drop and sometimes not be able to go over 1.8kb/sec!! I have been on the phone to my ISP three times now (for a long time each time) and they have reset the connection from their side but it has not helped. When I turn the modem off and back on again the speeds are high but immediately start to drop again. I have tried changing back to an old modem to see if it was a problem with the modem but it did the same thing. The modem is only about 6 months old anyway. I have run virus scans, disk clean ups, defragmented my system and cleared all internet history etc but nothing has fixed it. The computer itself is running fine, it is just the internet. Any ideas on what the problem could be?? I really appreciate any advice as obviously this is very frustrating!! Thanks to all who reply!

Can my dog get infections from laying in his urine?

My dog is 4 months old and my boyfriend thinks its ok to let the dog stay in the crate for 3 days (I think is completely wrong). He still gets food and water and is let out but sometimes doesn't do anything cause he already peed in the crate. My boyfriend will get mad that he's not doing anything outside and put him back in. This has gone on for three days, and I think the dog will get an infection but he doesn't think so. I gave him a bath and washed everything. He's gotten random scabs on his face, want to know if that could be a sign of anything. We use the crate for when he does pee in the house but if he's locked up for days, peeing when he needs to from his neglect he's never going to learn and will cause behavior problems... A good friend of mine recently decided to reconcile with his ex, who is the mother of his children. He went to court last year for sole custody of their children and won, being that she was in jail and wouldn't show up to the previous court hearings to fight for her children. He proved to the court she was unfit, proved neglect and abuse that occurred during their time of trying to work it out before she went to jail and he was awarded sole custody, and once she was released from incarceration, she was ordered to pay child support. Well, they reconciled because she has claimed to "change", when in reality, she has only gotten worse. What could happen to my god kids if the court found out about this? And the child support office calls him asking him if he knows where she is so they can get her. He lies to them saying he doesn't, but she is currently living with him. Since they have been together, which is only 2 months, she has already been to jail 4 times for Failure to Appear and Contempt of court, and changed her address to his. Will he get in trouble for this and/or lose the kids? These are my god kids and I don't want to see them in foster care. I asked this question before, and I will add that he does leave the kids with her during the day while he works due to the fact that day care the kids went to refuses to take the kids back due to this issue. No one, not even his own mother, has really seen or spent time with the kids since he got back with her, and everyone is basically saying they hate the girl and they hate he is doing this, but they have to "support whatever decision he makes". 3 weeks ago, because of her, he almost tried to kill himself and was put on 48 hour psych hold. I love my god kids. What could happen once the court and the child support office finds out he is now back with the woman he claimed to be unfit? And is there anything i can do? Because he made a horrible decision by thinking simply because she is their "birth mother", he needs to make it work with her. But at the end of the day, my god kids are gonna pay that awful price. so ive been using windows xp forever, and my cousin gave me a computer with vista on it. How do i connect it directly to ethernet, when I go to network and sharing center, i click on set up a connection or network. I get 5 different options, connect to the internet which has two sub catagories, connect to a wireless network or dialup, the next option is set up a wireless router or access point. The next is manually connect to a wireless network, the next is set up a wireless ad hoc, and the last is set up a dial up connection. None of these when clicked on lead me to believe I can set up a direct ethernet hook up from the modem to the computer. Anyone know how to do this on vista?

My husband stopped being intimate with me in every way!! What do I do?

Is there any software to compress or resize these images, so I can atleast make out some of the picture and then click on it if I need it. I have 10mb/s connection, yet lately Youtube is sooooooo slow. and it depends on which Youtube channel I am on sometimes too, it is so frustrating. I don't undertsand why with 10mb/s speed, Youtube is dragging along as if I'm on dialup.

Don't you miss the perks of being alive many years ago? It seems like culture is falling to pieces, and people have their own theories as to why. I love western culture and what it's brought us. My favorite part of it was what the United States of America used to be. I like the concepts, values, architecture, and problem solving of western culture, but it is burning to the ground. It seems that in the last sixty years or so that things took a major turn for the worst. You can talk about all of the so called technological advancement you want, particularly the information tech, but that doesn't make up for our evident downfall of western society. Speaking of our technology, I really think we could have used it all better than we have or are currently using it as or for. My wife has filed fake Crpc 125 against me. I have not neglected her at all and she does not want to rejoin me without any concrete reason. She just wants money now after 4 months lower court has passed orders to summon me via embassy.I am foreign citizen and i am confused whether lower court will summon me via indian embassy abroad or are they going to summon me via foreign embassy itself ? Why can't my wife support my decisions at all?

I know it's long, but please consider answering. I would be so grateful. We've been together a few years and had our ups and downs. Sometimes she's great and I love her very much. I got out of school and am in the process of finding work. We had some problems last year that involved her flirting with various men, especially with a man at her work. She tore me down when I found out (she was apologetic at first but it didn't last), flirting more at random (delivery guys, repair men, etc.) and insulting me with jokes about my manhood. She eventually showed too much of herself to the young guy down the street (19 or 20 yrs old) and he came over while she was gardening at the side of the house in less than enough clothes. She sat and chatted with him about sports and his soccer team while I fumed inside. She expected a big house and three kids by now (she turned 30 recently). But those times when I have worked hard at my part time job during school or spent hours studying, she complained she felt neglected. Lately, I was depressed and lacked motivation and graduation was not good. I thought she might leave at any time. On the job front, many of my classmates have had trouble finding work, but recently I felt really invigorated and motivated. I went downstairs today and basically told my wife that "I'm going to get out there and show these people they can't hold me back." I felt great for the first time in weeks. She immediately turned on me, told me I'm being a jerk and that my only goal should be to be nice to others. I felt like for once, after everything that happened, she could have been happy I had my drive back. She's told me plenty of times to get out there and do what you need. Now when I've been fired up, she says I'm a jerk. When she was looking for her job last month, she was offered a lousy position at a school in a bad part of town, which treated the kids like fools. My wife said she wanted to teach kids to achieve in life, and so held out for another job though she did not know if she would get one. She did, and I supported her in all this. But I'm in Catch-22 with her all the time. At lunch yesterday she said her grandfather had eaten her food (he lives with us). I said I would ask him not to eat her food from the fridge, she said that I was being rude and should respect her grandfather. Today at lunch, same complaint, he had eaten her food again. I said nothing, and so she got angry at me saying I should solve the problem. What was I supposed to do? It bothers me that any answer I have is the wrong answer, whether little issues or big ones. It bothers me that because I don't give her everything she wants she treats me like crap. We have all the basics, she wants extras. Why can't she support me when I need it? Why is everything I do wrong?

Miscommunication with others, which both parties are responsible for... Not much you can do to improve someone elses understandings or reactions so focus on your own. If you have to explain it to them, they won't understand it. What you can change is how you feel or perceive what others do. I've got a retail background and can give you a little insight into this. No, they're not trained, it's more of a natural response. Most girls in these positions feel somewhat safe. It's not like they're out at a bar with guys trying to pick them up or anything, they're at work. So a lot of them let their guard down and are a lot more personable. The ones you have to watch out for are sales women that are trying to get you to buy stuff. They are quite crafty in their usage of feminine wiles, and will make you think they promised much more than they intended just to get you to buy stuff. Cashiers are a different story, they don't need to sell you stuff, so they're just being friendly. You can usually ask a cashier for their number if it looks like you guys are getting along well, although some will balk at this (like some girls in any situation).
