Is it possible to get cable extended to my area?

I was wondering if anyone knows if cable providers (such as Comcast, Charter, etc) will install cable in areas that have no cable access? I am moving to a rural area in Eastern TN, and I would REALLY like faster internet than I can get through satellite. I just wanted to know if any of these companies will run cable further out from their service areas for customers. I realize it would probably be pricey, but if it were several hundred dollars, I think it would be worth having decent non-dialup-like internet.
